Credit crunching staycationers boost local wildlife charity

Credit crunching Staycationers are boosting a local wildlife charity. The stay at home holiday makers are flocking to Wildwood as Kent ’s best value destination this summer

The local wildlife charity has had a bumper summer, welcoming it’s biggest number of visitors ever. So far this summer the popular ‘staycationing’ destination has attracted more visitors in first three weeks than in the previous two summers combined.

Staycationers, those British families put off foreign travel by punitive exchange rates and scared of what more horrors the growing economic recession has in store for them, are searching out best value to entertain them and their families this summer in the UK.

Wildwood’s unique mix of conservation, education and relaxation has proved hugely popular as has is its credit crunch busting entrance fee.

By allowing visitors to join the charity as members, hard pressed families can enjoy its great animal collection and exciting adventure playground as many times as they like for only £6 per month.

“Wildwood is giving people a chance to enjoy the better things in life and all for only £6 per month." commented Peter Smith Wildwood's Chief Executive, "It’s an absolute bargain that cash strapped Kent families are finding hard to resist. Parents can let the kids run wild in the knowledge that it’s cheap, fun and good for them.”

New this summer our baby fawns pen and animal encounters area that let kids get nose to nose and hands on.
Wildwood has seen its membership grow to nearly 45,000 people making it one of the biggest charities in the county. With over 12,000 people joining so far this year the unique mix of enjoyment and worthy wildlife conservation is proving irresistible.

Wildwood's 'Wildlife Conservation Park' is an ideal day out for all the family where you can come 'nose to nose' with British Wildlife. Wildwood offers its members and visitors a truly inspirational way to learn about the natural history of Britain by actually seeing the wildlife that once lived here, like the wolf, beaver, red squirrel, wild boar and many more.

Wildwood is situated close to Canterbury, just off the A291 between Herne Bay and Canterbury.
